(Jesus says:) “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
If you attended our school production, Operation BBG, you would have experienced our students having life to the full.
They worked hard all term to perfect their lines, actions and songs and pulled it all together in one big combined school effort in the matinee and night performance on Tuesday.
And, oh, what a feeling the students experienced as a sense of overwhelming satisfaction washed over them as they pulled off a most spectacular show.
Well done to all who performed on the night. We are proud of your efforts.
Looking back on Term 3 students: ran a marathon, participated in the Shepparton Running Festival, went to the zoo, talked with a politician, visited Cooinda, experienced a live production at BPACC, visited the library, ran and jumped at an athletics carnival, passed 100 days of Prep and produced a major school production. And I am sure I have missed some things.
Jesus says he came to give life, and life to the full.
That is our aim at ACC. To enjoy life with our students and enjoy it to the full. We have done that this term.
Have a great rest and we’ll see you for the home stretch as we close out 2017 in Term 4.

Steph Ryan visit
Last Friday the Senior students were visited by local MP Stephanie Ryan. Ms Ryan spoke to the students about leadership and what they could do in their local community to make a difference. The children enjoyed asking Ms Ryan many questions about her job and her role in the local community. They were also able to give Ms Ryan letters that they had written to her about issues or improvements that they had identified in Benalla and surrounds.
Last Thursday the Kinder, Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 students along with staff and parents went for an exciting day to Mansfield Zoo. We started by having a guided tour of the zoo and animals with Bronwyn, the Zoo Keeper. We learnt many interesting facts and had the opportunity to get up close and feed some of the animals.
After lunch we broke into small groups. Each child was given a bucket of feed and a shovel to feed the animals. Seeing the lions and feeding and patting the kangaroos was a highlight for many children. It was a very enjoyable day and great opportunity for the Kinder children to get to know some of the school children and develop some friendships.
Responsible Pet Ownership Program
We have come to the end of a very busy Term 3. Term 4 promises to be just as busy, if not busier. This week we had Diana and her pet cavoodle “Romi” from the “Responsible Pet Ownership“ program came to Kinder. We learnt all about when it was safe to pat a dog and when we should never touch a dog. The big rule we learnt was “No owner, no lead, NO pat.” We also learnt what to do if we came across an angry dog. “Stand very still, arms by your side and look at the ground.”
