LOCATION & TRANSPORT
Benalla is a rural city located two hours drive northeast of Melbourne along the Hume Freeway. The Melbourne-Wodonga railway line runs through Benalla and the town has its own small airport opposite the school.
Benalla boasts sporting facilities, an aquatic centre, wineries, a TAFE College, an art gallery, performing arts and convention centre, and botanical gardens. The town’s population is approximately 9,000 residents.
The school is connected to the local school bus routes, which services the regional towns of Glenrowan, Goorambat, Devenish, Thoona, Molyullah, Baddaginnie, Tatong, Violet Town, Winton, Greta Valley and Swanpool. There is also a fee paying bus that serves the township of Benalla.
Australian Christian College will run its own bus service between Wangaratta and its campus at the earliest opportunity when enrolments from Wangaratta permits.
Other bus routes will be considered from the neighbouring regional city of Shepparton and the township of Yarrawonga should demand arise.
